Government Website Redesign project: The Federal Trade Commission www.ftc.gov
For this project, I worked with a team to redesign the FTC’s website based on UX/UI principles. Beginning with user testing and heuristic analysis, I found that the site was a challenge to users largely due to the broad amount of information that the site offers. Within this sprawling site, some pages were only accessible by finding links that were buried in copy text. I took inspiration from the original website’s tone and messages and developed a mood board and style guide that would emphasize the welcoming yet astute aesthetics.
During this process, I enjoyed working with users to discover what they naturally look for in terms of navigation. I redesigned the desktop as well as mobile to have more concise navigation.
A lil interactive animation created with Figma.
